Baclaran Church Currently Prepares for Anticipated Simbang Gabi (Misa de Gallo) Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

MANILA – Baclaran Church is now preparing for the upcoming Simbang Gabi or dawn masses starting December 16, 2020.

The Redemptorist Church in Baclaran is already preparing for the anticipated Simbang Gabi. Two masses have been schedules in December 15 and 16, 2020; anticipated mass at 8:00 pm and Misa de Gallo at 4:30 am, according to Fr. Victorino Cueto.

The priest also said that the regular schedule of masses would continue. The devotees and believers are also waiting for further announcement whether the curfew hours will be shorten to give way for Simbang Gabi.

Fr. Victorino Cueto also assured that Baclaran Church could accommodate and control the numbers of people who will attend the dawn masses. However, he clarified that the church compound could only accommodate a maximum of 2,000 attendees and only 605 people could enter the Church.

The Church implements new safety measures in compliance with the quarantine guidelines and health protocols to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease.

Pasay Night Market in Roxas Boulevard Service Road has been already allowed to operate for 24 hours. The market is previously operating from 5:00 pm until 12 midnight.
