Robin Padilla Pledged to His Father’s Tomb, ‘No Way’ to Enter Politics
Action star Robin Padilla pledged to his father’s tomb that he will not enter politics no matter what happens even Rodrigo Duterte asked him.
In the special screening of Bineo documentary movie “Memoirs of a Teenage Rebel” in Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall cinema in Cainta Riza, he shared his interest in politics after he was asked if he has plans to enter the industry.
The docu-film features Ivy Lyn Corpin, a former NPA member who converted to government. He recounted how he was recruited or how the recruitment was carried out to become a member of the NPA, what was happening, training, etc.
Robin, meanwhile, insisted that their release of the docu-film was not politically motivated or personal.

Robin added that he will not run for any position even if President Rodrigo Duterte runs for him after he was asked.
“Kaya ipagtanggol n’yo ako kapag sinasabing kakandidato ako, ipagtanggol n’yo ako. No way! Hindi ako ‘yun. Mas gusto ko magkasama tayo sa showbiz! Dito mayroon akong magagawa!” he added.
