Quezon City Local Government Reiterates GCQ Guidelines

QUEZON CITY LOCAL GOVERNMENT – The LGU of Quezon City released an advisory over the GCQ status of the city this holiday season.

The Philippines is still under community quarantine measures now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The country is one of the over 200 nations and territories that recorded cases of the said disease

As of this writing, the Department of Health (DOH) has logged a total of 439,834 including 8,554 and 408,634 recoveries. The wearing of face mask and the practice of social distancing became protocols in the country now when going outdoors.

The entire Metro Manila will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until this December. The mayors have also agreed not to allow the minors to shop in malls for the holiday season.

Recently, the Quezon City local government released an advisory on the GCQ status in the city. In its press release, the LGU announced the change on the bracket on the age of individuals who are allowed to go out.

In line with the national government’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the National Capital Region’s announcement, the LGU raised the age of individuals allowed to go out to 18 years old.

According to the Quezon City local government, those who are aging 18 to 65 years old may leave their home but must bring with them a company ID, a school ID, or any ID issued by the government.

Based on the report of the QC LGU, individuals who are younger or older than the 18-65 age brackets may leave their home only for essential purposes.
