Petition To Fire Amber Heard From ‘Aquaman 2’ Has Amassed More Than 1.5M Signatures
AMBER HEARD – The petition to fire actress Amber Heard from the movie ‘Aquaman 2’ has amassed over 1.5 million signatures.
American actress Amber Heard’s relationship with ex-husband Johnny Depp has been causing controversy. According to her, Depp was an abusive husband however, several testimonies, videos, and audio recordings from family and friends say otherwise.
A UK-based newspaper, The Sun, wrote Amber’s narrative on their papers and tagged the Hollywood actor as a “wife-beater.” Months later, Warner Brothers dropped Depp from his role as ‘Grindelwald’ in the movie “Fantastic Beasts.”
In a previous article, Johnny Depp released a statement on his social media accounts regarding his removal from the movie. He thanked his fans for their love and support and said he respected and agreed to the company’s decision.
“I have respected and agreed to that request,” Depp said.
Based on a report from Philstar, more than 1.5 million social media users have signed on a petition asking for the removal of Amber Heard from the movie “Aquaman 2.”
The petition initiated by Jeanne Larson was addressed to DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. The Change.org petition described the actress as a “known and proven domestic abuser.”
“Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry…”
“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2,” it added.
Johnny Depp strongly denied the accusations he hurt Amber Heard while battling drug addiction. Earlier this month, he released a statement regarding losing the “wife-beater” case.
