Vice Pres. Robredo Breaks Silence on Possibility of Running for President in 2022 Elections
ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo spoke on the possibility that she will run for president in the 2022 elections.

Now, there are talks on who might possibly run for president in upcoming 2022 elections. Many are asking if Vice President Leni Robredo will run for the highest position in the government in the next poll.

It is no secret to the public that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has been criticizing the Vice President over her qualification for presidency. In his recent national address, he stressed that she cannot really be president because she supposedly took actions amid the onslaught of the typhoon.
According to the President, the military was deployed two days before the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. The heated remarks came along with accusations on the Vice President supposedly asking the whereabouts of the President.
Vice Pres. Robredo denied asking about Pres. Duterte amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. Recently, she also broke her silence on the possibility of running for president in the 2022 elections.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President said that “it’s always a possibility” but she is not planning to run for the position. According to her, she sees presidency as a destiny which does not requires a plan.
“Isa siyang posisyon na kung para sa’yo, magiging sa’yo ‘yun. Kung hindi para sa’yo, kahit anong gawin mong pagpaplano, hindi magiging mapapasayo,” she said.
Based on the report, the Vice President also stressed that planning for the next elections which might trigger conflicts is just a “waste of time, waste of energy, waste of resources”.
The Vice President promotes cooperation and the fulfillment of the present jobs now. According to her, the people may think about politics when it is already time for it.
