Class Suspensions Declared In These Areas

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in various areas after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.

Last week, Typhoon Ulysses becomes one of the most trending topics online after devastating numerous regions in the country. The powerful typhoon lashes parts of the country with violent winds and heavy rains.

The tropical cyclone also causes severe flooding in different areas including Marikina City, Cagayan, and Isabela. The massive flooding displaced thousands of residents and left some of them with traumatic experience.

Class Suspensions

On Monday (November 16, 2020), some local government units announced that several areas remain under class suspension due to the effects of Typhoon Ulysses. The declaration aims to allow students, teachers, and other employees to recover from the Typhoon.

Metro Manila

  • Pasig City – kindergarten to senior high school (Nov. 16 and 17)
  • Clarification on Caloocan City

Provinces

  • Bulacan – all levels

Schools

  • Adamson College (Nov. 16 and 17)
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines – all levels, all branches and campuses (academic break, Nov. 16–27)
  • University of Santo Tomas – synchronous and asynchronous classes (Nov. 16–21)
  • University of the Philippines (Nov. 16–21)
  • Far Eastern University High School (Nov. 16 to 20)
  • Ateneo de Manila University (Nov. 16 to 21)
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Nov. 16 to 27)
  • University of Santo Tomas (Nov. 16 to 21)
