Floodwaters of Pakil, Laguna Amazed Netizens for Being Clean

Some part of the country is suffering from the massive flood due to heavy rainfall caused by Typhoon Ulysses, shortly after the onslaught of Typhoon Rolly. Residents seek urgent help as they were stranded due to deep flood.

Marikina City and the towns in Rizal were not the only ones flooded due to the heavy rain and wind brought by typhoon Ulysses. Some towns in Laguna were also flooded.

But the flood that occurred in Pakil, Laguna was strange because the water in the street flowed was clean and not dirty. Pakil Mayor Vince Soriano has an explanation about the flooding phenomenon in the town under his jurisdiction.

The mayor said in his Facebook post about the clear and clean flooding in Pakil, Laguna. According to the Mayor, it is not new in their area in Barangay Burgos when the Big River, which is also considered a fish sanctuary, overflows.

He also said that the water flowing there is naturally clean because it comes directly from Turumba Spring Resort so the water seems clear. He also shared photos before the storm I saw the fish in the river. He said it is forbidden to hang them and have a fine.

In our previous article, the Marikina government is now on guard for a possible leptospirosis outbreak following the massive flood due to the typhoon. They are now distributing prophylaxis antibiotics to residents. This antibiotic is to fight against leptospirosis.
