JULIA BARRETTO – Former broadcaster Jay Sonza no show to explain his side after Julia Barretto filed formal complaint versus him.
Former anchor Jay Sonza faced formal complaint after Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto went to National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for cyberlibel and violating Safe Spaces Act. This is after he publicly made controversial claims about the actress being pregnant with her rumored boyfriend Gerald Anderson.
She posted a photo of her body to disprove the accusations and formally went to authorities. Her mother, Marjorie Barretto slammed the former broadcaster for his unverified claims. A subpoena was sent to him and he was given a schedule to air his side for the sake of fairness but failed to show up.
He also did not send anyone to represent him or any document to explain his absence but the NBI will still go on with their investigation. He can also still present himself when NBI has to recommend the case in the prosecutor’s office.
In a previous article, the actress expressed of no plan to forgive him. This is the first time she did something to stood up, defend, and protect herself and she is proud of it. She accordingly had already enough controversies in the past and will never again tolerate fake news about her, her family, and anyone who are close to her.
She added as that pregnancy is such a sensitive talk that shouldn’t be made as “chismis” against anyone and inappropriate to accuse someone you don’t know of personally..
