Meralco Set to Impose Price Adjustments for November

The Manila Electric Company or Meralco was set to implement price adjustments for the month of November 2020.

During the previous months, the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread in different countries all around the world. The infectious virus affects both public’s health and the global economy.

The health crisis also causes loss and bankruptcy to numerous businesses and establishments. While other companies implement price hikes to cover up their losses during the past few months.

Price adjustment in price of basic commodities and other primary services in the industry surely affects most of Filipino people especially to those who are living in middle-class and line of povery.

On Monday (November 9, 2020), the electric power distribution company Meralco announced a price reduction per kilowatt hour of electricity rate for the month of November 2020. The company would deduct P0.04 per kwh in overall rate.

Here is the list of price adjustments for this month:

  • 200 kilowatts per hour – P8.00
  • 300 kilowatts per hour – P12.00
  • 400 kilowatts per hour – P16.00
  • 500 kilowatts per hour – P20.00
