Angel Locsin Gives Cash To Typhoon Victims, Other Celebs Call For Help

Typhoon Rolly leaves some areas devastated and Angel Locsin along with other celebrities immediately acted to help.

ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin along with other celebrities call for help after typhoon Rolly left millions of people in devastation.

Considered as a super typhoon, Rolly battered Albay, Catanduanes, and Camarines Sur in Bicol. Signal number 5 was lifted in some areas and the three above-mentioned were greatly affected. Over 2 million were afflicted by Rolly and over 20 people were listed to be dead.

It has an international name of Goni and pounded the country on Sunday causing huge floods due to heavy rain along with destructive winds that destroyed thousands of houses. This is the world’s most powerful tropical cyclone yet in 2020. It rapidly weakened into a tropical storm over the West Philippine Sea and exited Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday night.

The typhoon left devastation to people where necessary things such as foods and housing materials are much needed. With this, philanthropist Angel Locsin, just what she usually does every time a calamity hits the country, immediately acted and shared to give out cash aid to affected residents.

As per her post, she will give Php 1,000.00 to a thousand affected people. Originally, valid requests are until November 3 only but it was extended. In a post, she shared, “Typhoon Rolly Assistance Initiative will be extended until tomorrow. November 4, 2020. We understand that a lot of areas still don’t have electricity and no means of communication.”

Catriona Gray also join in call for help by using her Instagram with over 10.6 million followers where plead for help through response operations of Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC). Meanwhile, Enchong Dee also called out for aid in-kind and not in cash. He preferred not in cash because what people absolutely need for now are hygiene kits and relief packs.

Gretchen Ho also used her platform for the donation drive of Ateneo de Manila University. She also shared on her posts on how to send help for the affected persons.
