Huge Land Cracks in Lemery, Batangas Expand Due to the Effect of Typhoon Rolly, According to the Residents

The residents of Lemery, Batangas have expressed their concern and worry after a huge cracks occur due to the effects of Typhoon Rolly.

Over the past few days, the Philippines have suffered from the devastation of Super Typhoon Rolly, which hits the country with violent winds and heavy rainfall. The typhoon displaced thousands of residents and destroyed several properties.

A huge land cracks has been found at the town of Mataas na Bayan, Lemery, Batangas. The cracks were initially caused by the eruption of Taal Volcano in January 2020 but Typhoon Rolly and Quinta expand the cracks.

A residents named Christian Jake Obrador Abalos said that the cracks are located near the houses in the community. One of his fellow villagers got injured due to the incident.

“Dulot po ‘yun ng bagyong Rolly, hating gabi po ‘yun nangyari, paggising po namin sa umaga nakita na po namin malaki na ang dating bitak, Nastock-an po ‘yun ng tubig, kaya gumuho din po ‘yun,” Abalos said.
