Principal Hands-on to Their School’s Construction Earned Praise Online

A hardworking school principal goes viral and earned praise online for being hands-on on their schools structure construction.

The principal is known to be in charge of a school. He also ensures that teachers teach according to the standards for the development of students.

But Elmer Lumbo, 59, principal of Habana Integrated School, Buruanga, Aklan, his dedication and love of work overflows that even when building the structures of their school he is hands-on.

His son shared on social media her preoccupation. In a Facebook post by Jose Elvis Michelet Lumbo, he said it was 8:51 PM in the evening and his father was still in school because he was still putting the stairs.

According to Jose, his father is really a hardworking person. He said that his father does not go home to their house every lunch because he is still finishing his school papers.

And even on his birthday on July 19, he said he went to school early to water the plants. That is why he is the lead in the construction of the structures because he ensures the construction is correct and he also does overtime to reduce other works.

Sir Elmer’s character is not new to his students because he is known for being industrious. In that post by Jose Elvis, he received praise from his students, people who know him very well, and netizens who were amazed.

One of his former students shared about him, saying “Sir Elmer Lumbo is a very dedicated educator, a loving husband, and father and a very down to earth, hard-working man. Thank you sir for your exemplary service to our learners and co-workers. May God bless you with good health and safety always.”

“Di talaga siya nagbago kahit principal na siya. Teacher pa namin ‘yan ng elementary. Ganyan na siya. Proud ako sir Elmer na naging teacher kita. Grade 6 adviser namin ‘yan ng elementary.”
