According to a report from ABS-CBN, the victim is identified as Renato Olimba, aged 36 and a resident of Las Piñas City.

Witnesses testified that a car from the said boulevard suddenly turned to Pedro Gil Street and crashed the motorcycle which was driven by Olimba.

Olimba sustained injuries in his head and arm and the collision caused his leg to fracture. A volunteer group responded to the incident, giving first aid to the victim but it took them an hour to bring the latter to a nearby hospital.

Respondents said that there are no hospitals who can provide an ambulance, which is a current problem for those who volunteer to accidents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on the report, an ambulance from the Philippine Red Cross-Manila Chapter arrived at the scene to take the rider to the nearby hospital.

The driver of the said car who crashed the motorcycle, on the other hand, is under the custody of the Manila Police District-Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit.

The report came with a video, which you can check right here.
