PAGASA – LPA East Of PH To Become Tropical Depression (October 27, 2020)
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that a low pressure area (LPA) east of the country might enhance into a tropical depression.

The bureau added that the said weather disturbance was last spotted at about 1,855 kilometers east of Southern Luzon, which is outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) as of 4 AM.
The LPA is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday or Thursday, and is more likely to develop into a tropical depression within 48 hours, according to Manila Bulletin.
The bureau will give the LPA the local name “Rolly” once it becomes a tropical depression within PAR.
The weather disturbance could affect Southern Luzon, according to the bureau’s initial forecast but it is too early to say with certainty if the initial forecast track will be followed, based on the report.
Should the projections be unchanged, the initial effect may be felt more likely towards the end of this week. The public is urged to monitor developments regarding the LPA.
