PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates for Saturday (October 24)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of Typhoon Saudel and Tropical depression Quinta would bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (October 24, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The Typhoon Saudel and Tropical depression Quinta will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the troughs from Typhoon Saudel and Tropical depression Quinta would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Typhoon Saudel with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 150 kph was last spotted at 735 kilometers west of northern Luzon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Tropical Depression Quinta with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of 70 kph was last spotted at 750 kilometers east northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The frontal system would bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte. The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon would be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are also expected over the Visayas and Mindanao, according to the weather bureau.
