Why Lani Mercado cried during her guesting in Eat Bulaga?
Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado was the guest judge in Eat Bulaga’s Bawal Judgmental on Saturday and she got emotional after hearing the stories of the choices in the games.
On October 24, another emotional episode of the popular segment of the Kapuso noontime show captured the hearts of netizens. The choices were the children of mothers who have psychiatric conditions.
Based on the article from GMA Entertainment, host Bossing Vic Sotto reminded the public that “bawal judgmental”. “Ginagawa natin ito para mapag-usapan at mas maintindihan ang mga psychiatric health issues bilang pakikiisa na rin sa nakaraang World Mental Health Day,” he said.
The veteran host added that many people are suffering from this kind of mental illness and their families are suffering also.
After hearing the stories, Mayor Lani Mercado said, “Bossing, nakakaiyak na.” Obviously, even the hosts of the longest-running noontime show also cried but with his signature humor Bossing Vic explained why he became teary-eyed.
“Umuulan ba sa labas? Di naman bukas yung bintana pero may anggi, e,” he said. Then, Jose Manalo also had his funny reason of having tears in his eyes. “Ang lakas ng aircon na tumatama sa mga mata naming,” the comedian-host said.
Before the segment ended, Lani Mercado gave her advice to Bawal Judgmental choices. She said that staying strong and happy will surely help a lot.
“When my mom was still alive, she had Alzheimer’s and dementia. So, kailangan matibay lang kayo. Malaking bagay na may mga kapatid kayong umaalalay at tumutulong sa inyo. At saka trabaho lang, trabaho lang,” the mayor shared.
She also told them to love their parent no matter what the situation they are in. “Tatag lang, tibay lang, yun ang importante, and stay happy,” she said.
