PAGASA – Pepito To Bring Clludy Skies, Scattered Rains This October 22, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, October 22, 2020 (Thursday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Trough of Severe Tropical Storm Pepito will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Western Visayas.

According to GMA News, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to scattered light to moderate rains.

The Severe Tropical Storm Pepito (Internationally named Saudel) was last seen at 380 kilometers west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 125 kilometers per hour. It is moving west northwestward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon will face Moderate to Strong winds that are moving in the Southwest to Southeast direction while facing Moderate to Rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the Southwest to South direction while facing Slight to Moderate.

The bureau is currently monitoring an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), a tropical depression was located 1,870 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon.

It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up 55 kilometers per hour. It is moving east northeastward slowly.
