Arjo Atayde is one of the Best Actor nominees in the Asian Academy Creative Awards
The performance of Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde in iWant original series “Bagman” brought him to his Best Actor nomination in Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020.
Arjo is making his own name in the entertainment industry. As showbiz fans know that he is the son of prominent actress Sylvia Sanchez, it is quite expected of him to inherit the caliber of his mother when it comes to acting.
Indeed, his talent in this field was recognized by an award-giving body. Based onthe article from Bandera, when the series of Arjo was released, many commended his performance.
He was chosen as the Philippines’ representative in the Grand Awards and Gala Final in the category of Best Actor in a Lead Role in the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020.
Arjo Atayde will compete with other nominees in the said category namely, Luo Jin (China), Anthony Wong (Hongkong), Manoj Bajpayee (India), Miller Khan (Indonesia), Bront Palarae (Malaysia), and Kha Ra (Myanmar).
Bagman, which was directed by Shugo Praico and written by Philip King at Lino Cayetano, under Dreamscape Entertainment and Rein Entertainment, had 12 episodes.
Over the years since he started his showbiz career, the actor has already done several remarkable portrayals. When he joined the Kapamilya’s action-drama series Ang Probinsyano, his popularity skyrocketed.
It was followed by another big project, the series The General’s Daughter featuring Angel Locsin. No one can refute his good performances on other teleseryes as well, such as “E-Boy”, “Dugong Buhay”, and“Pure Love.
Arjo Atayde also did a remarkable performance in “Hanggang Saan” in which he worked with his mother Sylvia Sanchez.
