Lani Misalucha Shows ‘The Clash’ Contestant How To Sing Whitney Houston Classic
LANI MISALUCHA – “The Clash” judge Lani Misalucha showed a contestant how to sing a Whitney Houston classic.
Filipino singer Lani Misalucha can perform jazz, pop, soul, rock, rhythm, and blues. MTV Southeast Asia gave her the title “Asia’s Nightingale” because of her ability to sing several genres.
The 48-year-old singer is one of the panel judges of Kapuso network’s tv reality competition show ‘The Clash Season 2,’ together with comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista.
On The Clash Season 2’s October 10 episode, Lani Misalucha showed the eliminated Clasher how to sing Whitney Houston’s hit “Saving All My Love For You.” She gave a sample of her own version of the classic song on the show.
This came after Lani’s comment on Mariella Sun’s rendition of the song in the show’s “Laban Kung Laban” round. She told the 28-year-old contestant, “That song for me is really sexy so I was expecting that you were gonna put a little bit of sexiness in your interpretation of the song. But, nevertheless, I think you did it well. You sang it nicely.”

Lani Misalucha’s co-judges Christian Bautista and Ai-ai delas Alas can’t help but feel amazed over her powerful voice. The comedian said, “Ikaw na ‘yung champion, mare. Ba’t gano’n”
For his part, Bautista said, “Sa finals ng apala ang makakalaban n’yo si Ms. Lani.”
