Former singer and dancer Lian Paz opens up about her long-time Cebuano partner.
LIAN PAZ – Here’s the love story of Lian Paz with her long time Cebuano partner after failed marriage with Kapuso actor Paolo Contis.
Formerly EB Babe dancer and actress Lian Paz opened up over love story with her current partner, Cebuano businessman John Cabahug. He is already 33 years old while she 32 and they have met in Cebu way back during their younger days.
Lian was able to stay in Cebu for several years when her father, a med rep, got assigned in there. It happened when she was 9 years old until she turned 13. They eventually went back to Manila and she never met John since then.
She was able to work as a dancer and actress in Kapuso network. She married Paolo Contis but four years later, they decided to end their relationship. They’ve had Xonia and Xalene who, at the time of their separation, were just 2 years old and 1 year old, respectively.
Last 2013, struggling in facing a new life with her two kids under her custody, she met John again and received offer to be an endorser of his business. And that’s when their love story started. He would accordingly go and visit her in Manila even though he is based in Cebu. They were able to know each other better and deeper until it all bloomed to something special.
In falling in love with John, what she loved about him is his sincerity and the way he would look after her two girls. She shared, “He doesn’t take me out alone on a date. Lagi niya isasama mga anak ko kaya ako nahulog sa kanya. Yung respect niya to me as a mother, and he’s very fond of the kids.”
And when they finally became official, he encouraged her to study in Cebu. He sent her to school and she finished a two-year culinary course. It was in 2015 when she finally decided to take the kids with her in Cebu and eventually live there with John. He also had a kid with his previous partner.
John’s daughter is now 14 years old, Xonia and Xalene are now 9 and 8 years old respectively, and their youngest, Nina, is now 4 years old. They have a conventional set up as a family but Lian expressed how devoted as a father John is. He is accordingly a good father, a great provider, and always makes time for the kids.
“We are a blended family, but we are one. Nakaganda rin po na dumating baby namin ni John kaya nagkaroon talaga ng strong connection ang mga anak ko and his daughter,” she said.
