A Facebook user named Maricar Cruz Sevilla has shared the photos of her ‘no-read, no-write’ uncle who received a quarantine pass with insulting remarks. The post spread like a wildfire online and earned criticisms from the online community.

Sevilla expressed her disappointment to the officials who made the home quarantine pass with insulting remarks to her uncle who do not know how to read and write. She discovered the inappropriate remarks when she checked her uncle’s HQP.

The quarantine pass describes the user as a barangay backliner and even insulted him as ‘panget’. However, the helpless man doesn’t understand the writing for failing to learn how to read and write due to poverty.

Maricar criticized the officials responsible for publishing the quarantine pass who made such remarks for her uncle. She also said that her uncle deserved to be respected and should not be degraded.
