Bulacan Judge Passes Away Due to COVID-19

MALOLOS CITY – A Bulacan judge passes away due to the coronavirus disease and five other court employees test positive for the virus.

Over the past few months, the coronavirus disease continues to spread in different countries all around the world. The virus affects millions of people and thousands of patients have died due to the disease.

On Monday (September 28, 2020), the sources from the City of Malolos Health office reported that a 64-year-old judge at Malolos Trial Court Branch 1 has passed away due to infections secondary to diabetes last September 17.

On September 2, 2020, the judge identified as Mario Capellan experienced the difficulty breathing and has been rushed at a hospital in Metro Manila. The deceased judge is a resident of Quezon City.

Five other court employees have also tested positive for the coronavirus disease. The virus-infected workers have already completed their 14-day quarantine period and now waiting for clearance to return at the office.

From September 4-18, 2020, the Malolos Trial Court Branch 1 has been locked down. Eventually, the office resumed its operations but with limited manpower only.
