Charo Santos greeted Hyun Bin for his birthday
ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos, a self-confessed fan of K-drama Crash Landing on You, shared her birthday greetings for Hyun Bin, the actor who played the leading man Captain Ri.
Many Pinoys are indeed fans of Korean dramas and apparently, Charo’s heart was also captured by this kind of genre on streaming site Netflix.
Based on the article from the Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub, the TV executive in an interview last March that she was mesmerized by Captain Ri’s character and Hyun Bin who gave life to him.
“Siguro dahil nag-fit ‘yung actors din doon sa characters, hindi mo na mahihiwalay kung sino si Hyun Bin from Captain Ri, and from sino si Yoon Se-ri from [Son Ye-jin]. Parang it’s a fairytale. Some things sequences may not be realistic but I did not mind. I dove into the fantasy of two star-crossed lovers na a modern-day Romeo and Juliet,” she elaborated.
She was also captured by the story as she was anticipating if the lead stars would meet again and that they will end up together. Charo Santos also pointed out the intimate scene between Captain Ri and Se-ri.
The TV executive that when the lead characters kissed, it was very well calibrated and that made her wanting for more.
Even though the series already ended, Charo Santos remained a fan. In her recent Instagram post, she showcased her Captain Ri eco bag that was personally made by her grandchild.
It was also her way to greet Hyun Bin for his birthday. “Happiest Birthday to #HyunBin 🙂 This ecobag would’ve been a nice bday present right? Ha ha ha,” the TV executive wrote in the caption of her post.
