Lady Resident Dina Mapayo Wants to File Charges Against Officials Who Confronted Her for Not Wearing Mask
The viral lady resident Dina Mapayo is planning to file charges against the barangay officials who confronted her for not wearing a face mask while doing her laundry.
Previously, the video footage of barangay officials who confronted Dina Mapayo for not wearing a face mask while doing her laundry spread like a wildfire online. The netizens have also expressed their reactions to the incident.
The disappointed woman explained that she doesn’t know that she needs to wear a face mask although she is just a few inches away from their home. The officials invited her to the barangay hall to give her side of the story.
However, the woman refused to go to the barangay hall and insisted her rights. She also revealed that the violators in their area are required to pay P1,000 fine.
Recently, the Facebook page “ABS-CBN News” reported that Mapayo is planning to file charges against the barangay officials for their actions. The video elicits comments from the online community.
“Kakasuhan kop o sila ng trespassing, kasi wala silang pahintulot na basta na lang pumasok ng walang pasintabi. Kung sila po ay nagdadal ng batas eh sila nga mismo hindi tinutupad ‘yung batas. Yung face nila lumalabas sa ilong at isa pa, wala silang social distancing,” Mapayo said.

Joint Task Force Covid Shield Commander Ge. Guillermo Eleazar said that Dina would not face any charges if she was caught inside her house’s premises. He also encouraged the public to obey the quarantine guidelines for their own good.
