Two Kidnapping Suspects Killed In Rizal Encounter On Wednesday Night
TWO KIDNAPPING SUSPECTS – Two kidnapping suspects were killed in a gunfight in Teresa town in Rizal on Wednesday night.

Policemen identified the kidnappers as Rodel Basi and his son Romar Basi, according to an article from GMA News.
The Philippine National Police – Anti-Kidnapping Group reported that they went to a residence in Sitio Ibabaw 2 in Dulongbayan to conduct a police operation and implement a search warrant against the older suspect when the suspects fired shots at them,
PNP-AKG operatives retaliated and ended with the death of the two suspects. The Basis were allegedly involved in a series of kidnapping incidents involving Indian nationals, robbery, gun for hire, and even murder incidents in the province.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Cynthia Marino-Ricablanca of the Regional Trial Court Fourth Judicial Region in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, for the alleged violation of Republic Act 10591.
Based on the report, the elder Basi’s youngest son was also arrested by the cops. Retrieved from them were a shotgun, a 9 MM pistol, and a cal .45 pistol.
The PNP-AKG added that the suspects were well-known in the area as “armed and dangerous.”
