Anne Curtis Discloses Reason Why She Decided To Give Birth in Australia
ANNE CURTIS – It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis disclosed the reason why she decided to give birth in Australia.
Filipina-Australian actress and tv host Anne Curtis is one of the well-loved actresses in the Philippines. She’s one of the mainstays of the noontime variety show Its Showtime.
Last December, the 35-year-old celebrity took a maternity leave from show business and flew to her childhood hometown Australia to prepare for giving birth. Her daughter Dahlia Amelie is now 6 months old.
Anne Curtis is married to Filipino-French chef-vlogger Erwan Heussaff. She and her husband are both generous to shared Dahlia Amelie’s milestones on social media.
In her first-ever interview since becoming a mom, Anne Curtis revealed why she decided to give birth in Australia and why they did not return to Manila as planned. She was interviewed by host G3 San Diego.
The prominent actress revealed that it was never part of her plan to give birth in Australia. She said no one could convince her to take a break from work so she thought of giving birth far away from her workplace.
“Actually, it was a last minute decision really. Kasi I’d already chosen a doctor and a hospital and then, parang last minute I decided na parang I was working so hard kasi. And parang hindi nila ako mapigilang mag-work. So I felt that one way that would really get me to stop working is to just kind of be here,” she said.
Anne Curtis also said her mom also played a huge part in her decision. “Major factor then kasi was being with my mom. Lalo na it’s my first baby and having her help me through it, ‘yun ‘yung naging parang du’n nalang ako para mas tahimik, mas quiet. I can really just focus on the first few weeks and months of my baby daughter’s life,” she said.
Anne Curtis shared that she initially planned to fly back to the Philippines a few months after giving birth. But due to the COVID-19 threats, she decided to stay longer for her daughter’s safety.
“Yeah. Pero given the current situation, na-extend talaga ‘yung stay namin dito because I mean, if it was just me, no problem. Kaya kong lumipad anytime, ‘di ba? Pero now, I have a little life to think off and she is the top priority. Her safety is the top priority and her health,” Anne said.
