Video Footage of Montero Plowed Vet Clinic Customers Blamed to Distracted Driver
Video footage of a Mitsubishi Montero Sports SUV who plowed four customers of a vet clinic in Quezon City earned elicited comments online.
Mitsubishi SUV, Montero Sports, has recorded many road accidents these past few years since it was released on the market. Based on the reports, the common cause of the accident is the SUA (sudden unintended acceleration), which only occurs on automatic transmission vehicles.
However, after a month of investigations by automotive engineers, they have found out that the plausible root cause for sudden acceleration and inability to stop the sports vehicle is on the distracted driver. The driver mistakenly applying the accelerator, believing that they were pressing the brake pedal.
Meanwhile, on a Facebook page of Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUA Info Site, Gerard Dee Yuchioco shared video footage of an accident in Quezon City, along Regalado Highway, which involves the SUV.

There are two videos of the incident uploaded. The first video was recorded from the CCTV of the vet clinic. There are four customers left, sitting on the chair outside of the clinic while waiting for their call when all of a sudden, they were plowed by the black SUV.
The second video shows the black SUV stopped with hazard lights. Later on, the car suddenly accelerated and go straight to the vet clinic.
As seen in the video, three of the four customers were greatly hit by the car. While the fourth person on the right side was lucky enough as he was just hit on the side.
Meanwhile, netizens have express various reactions to the accident. However, most of them blamed the distracted driver saying that the car has no issue at all, it was all the driver’s fault.
