Meralco Sets Price Adjustments for September 2020
ELECTRICITY BILL – The electric power distribution company Meralco has set price adjustments for the month of September 2020.
The Manila Electric Company announced that they will reduce the price of electricity for this month of September 2020. It was the fifth consecutive month that the power distribution company implements a reduction on price of electricity.
“There is still that possibility of a slight reduction kaya hopefully magandang balita sa customers natin,” Meralco Spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said in a statement. The good news will surely relieve a lot of Filipino consumers.
The electricity contribution firm would implement P0.062 per kilowatt hour reduction to the electricity bill for the month of September. Here are some guidelines of price adjustment per Kwh this month:
- 200 kwh – P12
- 300 kwh – P19
- 400 kwh – P25
- 500 kwh – P31
Meanwhile, the Commission on Audit (COA) refused to audit the power company because it was the task of the Energy Regulatory Commission. Meralco is tasked to implement the P20 billion worth refund to its customers.
