Rufus Rodriguez, 2nd District Representative is disappointed to the government for allowing the new internet provider, DITO Telecommunication, to enter the country. He said that DITO is Chinese-backed defending the Filipino Companies Globe and Smart.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, Rodriguez stressed that the new telecom has 40% Chinese interest. He also questioned “Will we allow this Chinese-backed telecom to enter our camps, observe our camps, take pictures of our camps and be able to get information. Delikado ito.
“Delikado ‘yan dahil alam naman natin may conflict tayo with China. It’s very clear in the West Philippine Sea nanalo na tayo sa (we won in the) international tribunal and yet they are not acknowledging itong ating panalo,” dagdag pa niya.
Rodriguez also did not hesitate to compare after the United States banned such companies involved in the dispute in the South China Sea. The President recently announced last week the start of construction of Sangley Airport to be undertaken by China Communications Construction Co Ltd (CCCC).
