10 Additional Jeep Routes Reopened Amid GCQ In Metro Manila
10 ADDITIONAL JEEP ROUTES – Amid the general community quarantine (GCQ) restrictions on public transportation lowered.
Because of this, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) reopened 10 more jeepney routes in Metro Manila. According to an article from Inquirer, this brought the total to more than 16,000 jeepneys back in operation. Along with this, there were now 227 routes available under the GCQ.
The LTFRB said this was part of its “calibrated and gradual opening of public transportation”. Furthermore, they said the opening of routes were based on monitoring and coordination of LGUs in the Metro. Additionally, LGUs brought up that the demand for PUVs have increased as restrictions lowered.
As per the report, here are the new routes reopened by the LTFRB:
LTFRB Memorandum Circular No. 2020-043 identified the additional routes as follows:

Operators are required to download the QR code from LTFRB’s website. Afterward, it must be printed on a short bond paper to be displayed on the front windshield of the PUJs.
