According to Inquirer, the Provincial Health Office was launched the helpline amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Health Office’s Mark Katalbas said that they have two volunteer-registered guidance counselors from the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) as well as a psychologist to assist the helpline callers.

“There are depressed individuals because of the prolonged quarantine, and those suffering from fear and anxiety as COVID-19 can hit anyone,”

“There is no health without mental health, we need to help those who need psychological intervention and counseling,”

The said helpline will specialize in COVID-19 concerns, which also covers concerns from overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

Based on the report, Katalbas said that locals who feel anxious or worried due to the COVID-19 pandemic may call the following numbers for help:

  • 09615729197
  • 09659821851
