MMDA Gives Warning to Motorists Instead of Issuing Tickets

MMDA gives warning to the motorists with minor traffic violations regarding about the latest guidelines instead of issuing tickets.

Previously, a lot of motorists have expressed their complaints against the motorcycle barriers, which already caused accidents to some riders. The government has decided to cancel the policy but required the motorists to wear helmets with a full-face visor.

The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video footage of MMDA employees apprehending motorcycle riders and giving them warnings about the new guidelines. The video garnered various reactions from the netizens.

In the video, it can be seen that the employees of MMDA is apprehending motorists and drivers giving them warning of latest quarantine guidelines on backriding instead of immediately issuing tickets.

MMDA urges the rider and back rider to wear helmets with a full-face visor to avoid the possible exposure to the coronavirus disease. The traffic personnel also apprehends vehicles and remind the drivers regarding the maximum occupancy.

Instead of immediately issuing tickets, the MMDA are giving warnings to motorcycle riders about the latest guidelines on backriding.

They’re doing this so riders can adjust and comply, to avoid expensive penalty tickets.

The IATF have allowed those living in the same house to ride without barrier… but the driver and passenger must use their helmet visor.

Similar videos will be shown on TV tonight as part of a public awareness campaign.

Likewise, the MMDA are still enforcing the maximum occupancy for cars, vans, buses, shuttles etc. Getting caught with excess passengers is a very expensive ticket.
