3 NCRPO Personnel Relieved from Post After Tested Positive of Drugs
Three (3) personnel from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) relieved from their posts after being tested positive for using illegal drugs.
According to the report of Manila Times, the three personnel who got positive with the use of illegal drugs were among the 200 policemen and staff subjected to a surprise drug test last August 30.
NCRPO chief Major General Debold Sinas said that among the thee two of them are police officers. The policemen were identified as Patrolman Robert Lozano Buenavente and Patrolman Guillermo Laggui – both assigned at NCRPO’s Regional Headquarters Support Unit (RHSU).

The other one is a contractual employee of NCRPO’s RHSU. according to the NCRPO chief, all of them were found positive for the methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu (crystal meth).
“The NCRPO unceasingly cleanses its ranks of those who taint its image. We have successfully separated our colleagues who use illegal drugs from those who are dedicatedly performing their tasks. Rest assured that we will not stop in this quest,” he said.
Data from the NCRPO shows that 20,231 police personnel underwent a random drug test from October 12, 2019, until September 1, 2020. In total, 17 NCRPO personnel, including the latest three, tested positive for illegal drug use.
