Tribute of Angel Locsin for Retrenched Employees of ABS-CBN
ANGEL LOCSIN – The Kapamilya actress paid tribute to the employees of ABS-CBN Network who lost their job.
One of the most unexpected events that took place this 2020 was the shutting down of the ABS-CBN Network. It failed to secure a fresh 25-year franchise.
Over three months ago, the network got a Cease and Desist Order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). It immediately shut down its broadcasting operations.
Thirteen hearings were held in the House of Representatives to discuss the issues against the Kapamilya network. Last July 10, a 70-11 voting result left countless hearts broken for people who might lost their job amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision of the House to junk the franchise bid of ABS-CBN was followed by the management’s statement regarding employee retrenchment. More than 10 thousand people are working in the network.

One of the celebrities who are vocal in fighting for ABS-CBN is Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin. The Darna star is defending those who might lost their job amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Angel Locsin is one of the celebrities who paid tribute to the retrenched employees of ABS-CBN Network. In an Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to her fellow Kapamilya as she looks forward to working with them again.
