LUCIO TAN – The Tan family confirmed that the wife of the wealthy business tycoon, Lucia “Letty” Gonzales-Tan, died.
In the Philippines, there are several personalities known not for being politicians nor part of the showbiz industry but for their businesses and wealth.
One of these richest personalities is Lucio Tan, a Chinese-Filipino billionaire businessman. He is the founder and the chairman of the LT Group. The company is into banking, property development, and several others.
Tan is famous for his rags-to-richest story. It is known that the boy who went to school barefoot is now a man who got several businesses across the nation.

The business tycoon is married to Lucia “Letty” Gonzales-Tan. One of their sons, Michael Tan, is currently the president of LT Group.
Recently, an update about the wife of Lucio Tan crossed the surface. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Tan family confirmed that Lucia “Letty” Gonzales-Tan died.
In a statement, the Tan family said that their matriarch died of a “lingering illness”. She was 77 years old according to the report. Her family is asking for prayers for her soul.
The Tan matriarch left behind her husband who is now 86 years old, their children Michael and Angeline; Sharon and Edgard; John and Nancy; Cherry and Alfred; Timmy and Christine, and their grandchildren.
“Our Mom will always be remembered for her kindness and big heart. We will all miss her. May the Lord God bless her soul as she joins Him in heaven,” the Tan children said.
Reportedly, the wake of Mrs. Lucia Tan will be held at Heritage Park Memorial Chapel’s Chapel 3 in Taguig City. It will start from September 2 until September 7 between 10:00 o’clock in the morning to 6:00 o’clock in the evening.
The family stated that the burial of their matriarch will be on Sept. 8, 2020 at 11:00 o’clock in the morning.
