Actress Melissa Ricks shares how she met her husband-to-be.
MELISSA RICKS – Actress and a single mother Melissa Ricks shared how she met her future husband Michael Macatangay through an Instagram post.
In a previous article, Kapamilya stars and a “Star Circle Quest” (SCQ) finalist Melissa Ricks announced engagement to her non-showbiz boyfriend Michael Macatangay. She is the daughter of Kelly Ricks, the president and director of S&R Philippines, and Josie Ricks.
Ricks is a single mother to child with non-showbiz ex-boyfriend Charles Togezaki and she named her Kiera. And last August 29, she received one of the greatest surprises she could ever receive, a surprise wedding proposal from her non-showbiz boyfriend Michael Macatangay. He is now her future husband.
And in an Instagram post, she shared their love story as to how God seemingly weave how they should meet and end up with each other. It was during she’s at the “rock bottom” of her life – not enough money and to raise a little person alone.
It’s that time then that she turned to God knowing that He will never leave or let her down. It led her to Jesus the Anointed One Church and in her prayers, she just would like to leave everything to Him and let all His plans to her happen.
But in a separate prayer, she prayed, “Lord, baka naman po may ma meet ako dito, un alam and sakit, un napagdaanan na ang lahat, un masipag, un mabait, mahal ako and mahal anak ko,but most of all may takot sa diyos. Sana po may makatabi ko.”
And it happened. Sitting in front row with her daughter is Michael Macatangay beside her. The man who accepted her and her daughter and she is just so grateful for everything.
