Karen Davila Reacts To ABS-CBN Regional Closure & 2nd Wave of Retrenchment

Post of Karen Davila Regarding Closure of ABS-CBN Regional

KAREN DAVILA – The ABS-CBN News Anchor reacted to the closure of the ABS-CBN Regional and the 2nd wave of employee retrenchment in Manila.

The ABS-CBN Network failed to get a new franchise. It bit for a fresh 25-year franchise but the result of the voting of the House Franchise Committee did not favor the network.

More than three months ago, the Network shut down its broadcast operation following a Cease and Desist Order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).

After it, several hearings were held to discuss the issues surrounding the network. With a 70-11 voting result last July 10, the House junked the bid of the network for a new franchise.
