Media company TV5 network announces lockdown due to COVID-19 positive employees.
TV5 NETWORK – The Kapatid Network building in Reliance Street in total lockdown after some employees have tested positive for COVID-19.
Starting on August 26, the TV5 Media Center will be on lockdown for two days for disinfection after some employees have tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The network management is following the guidelines from Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to ensure safety of everyone.
Raffy Tulfo In Action Facebook page made the announcement as people are temporarily not seeing shows such as IDOL IN ACTION aired in ONE PH and TV5 and WANTED SA RADYO in RADYO5 and ONE PH live. The next episodes will be done through Zoom.
News program will have a live telecast while the live shows will be airing past episodes. COO/CFO Jojo Oconer of Archangel Media says that they are actually strictly following the health protocols.
He said, “In fact, before the actual taping day, ang dami pang mga ibang requirements that we needed to do—swab test, rapid test. Even sa production meetings namin, a big chunk of our time is really talking about safety protocols. Paulit-ulit na reminders and making sure na everybody is following it.”
During taping days, they would also assign someone to make sure that everyone is following the protocols, disinfection is done, and the staff and crew wear PPE, face shield, and face masks. They prioritize safety above anything else for the sake of everyone.
As of the latest update from the Department of Health (DOH), the country has now recorded at a total of 202,361 positive cases.
