Lyca Gairanod Shares Visit to Former House
LYCA GAIRANOD – Singer Lyca Gairanod takes a trip down memory lane as she visits her old house in Tanza, Cavite.
Pinay child singer and actress Lyca Gairanod won the 1st season of ABS-CBN’s reality singing competition ‘The Voice Kids Philippines.’ The Philippines’ Ultimate Pop Superstar, Sarah Geronimo, served as her coach.
The superstar takes pride in her as she also achieved a momentous win for helping her snag the Grand Champion spot. The first season of the singing contest was premiered in 2014.
In October 15, 2014, Lyca Gairanod and her family moved to their new house in Cavite. Aside from the house, she also won 1 million cash and a recording contract. She’s dubbed as the country’s “Little Superstar.”
Lyca was born to a poor family in Tanza, Cavite. She said she used to scavenge old newspapers and used bottles to help her family earn a living.

Lyca Garainod also joined the world of vlogging. For her latest vlog, she visited her old home in Tanza, Cavite. She reminisced about her former home during her visit.
The 15-year-old singer documented her trip down memory lane on her vlog. “Marami akong pinagdaanan dati. Alam niyo naman. Nakita niyo naman ‘yung istorya ko. Nag-MMK ako dati. Mula nung nag-The Voice ako, maraming-marami akong paghihirap na naranasan sa buhay ko. So dito na rin talaga ako lumaki,” she said.
“Siyempre hindi ko rin kayang kalimutan ang lugar na ‘to kung saan ako nanggaling. Hindi ko ‘to sinasabi para sabihin sa inyo na ganito ganyan ako. Sinasabi ko ‘to kasi gusto kong malaman ninyo na hanggang ngayon gusto kong bumalik sa buhay ko dati.” she added.
Lyca Gairanod broke down in tears when her grandmother thanked her for giving them a better life. “Si Lyca noon, mahirap. Ako nagpalaki dito. Ngayon, itong apo ko ang nagpaunlad sa amin dito. Sabi ko lang sa inyo, itong bahay na ibinigay niya sa akin, dito ako mamamatay. DIto ako. Hindi ako aalis dito maski sino pa ang magpapaalis,” her grandma said.
