PAGASA – LPA, Habagat To Bring Cloudy Skies, Thunderstorms Over Parts Over Parts Of PH This August 21, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 21, 2020 (Friday).
The latest update from the state weather bureau says that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was last spotted at about 310 kilometers north northeast of Casiguran, Aurora or at 210 kilometers East of Aparri, Cagayan; while the southwest monsoon or habagat will be affecting Luzon on this day.
According to GMA News, the LPA and habagat will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with occasionally heavy rains.
Metro Manila and rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, extreme northern Luzon will face moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to east direction while facing moderate coastal waters.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will face moderate winds that are moving southwestward while facing moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will face light to moderate that are moving in the south to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
