DTI now Allow the Resumption of Salon Services and Dine-in Under Metro Manila GCQ
Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said Tuesday, salons, barbershops, and gyms will reopen along with dine-in services as Metro Manila has been placed to GCQ (general community quarantine).
Metro Manila and other four provinces who were placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) can resume their operation starting Wednesday, August 19, until 31 August 2020. Lopez issued the advisory allowing the said five areas.
“Under GCQ, magbubukas ulit ang restaurants, dine-in, salons, barbers, at yung mga nadagdag na sector tulad ng testing centers, gyms,” he said.

He also added that industries must create health committees that will coordinate with the government in the enforcement of health protocols. based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the dine-in operation can also resume but at half of the establishment’s capacity.
“Magiging katuwang sila ng pamahalaan, itong mga committee, sa pagpapatupad ng bagong provisions sa health protocol,” Lopez said. “Under GCQ, dine-in operations will be allowed at half of the establishment’s capacity,” he added.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday downgraded the Modified ECQ to GCQ in Metro Manila and the nearby provinces. The four provinces which will revert to GCQ on Wednesday are Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal.
