Is it true that Jane de Leon is set to leave Star Magic?
Speculations surfaced that Jane de Leon, tagged as the new Darna, will leave the management of Star Magic.
Jane’s career skyrocketed when she was named as the lucky actress who will play the role of the iconic Pinay superhero in the movie. After several conflicts in the movie’s production, finally it has started shooting.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting was postponed and based on the article from PEP, there are rumors that Darna will be pitched to GMA or TV5 as a teleserye.
One of the rumors also involves the lead star of the said film. It was alleged that Jane de Leon wants to be released from Star Magic, the talent management of ABS-CBN.

However, Tyronne James Escalante, who is co-managing Jane, said, “Hindi pa po kami nagpapa-release sa Star Magic as of now.” He also revealed that there was an invitation for the actress to audition for an international movie but nothing concrete yet.
“May plano na gawing TV series ang Darna sa Kapamilya Channel, pero nothing concrete pa rin po tungkol dito,” Tyronne added.
Meanwhile, Jane de Leon is set to appear in the new show of Luchi Cruz-Valdes on TV5 titled Usapang Real Life. The show’s teaser showcased the portion wherein the actress shared her struggle auditioning for showbiz projects.
“Wala kaming pamasahe… Nalala ko yung Skyflakes po, pinaghahatian pa namin ni Mommy the whole day. And then, kahit pambili lang po ng tubig, ganyan. Sobrang kailangan po naming magtipid…” Jane revealed in the teaser of the show.
