Hontiveros Says PhilHealth Link Merely Fake News Meant To Distract
PHILHEALTH LINK FAKE NEWS – Senator Risa Hontiveros emphasized that her involvement in the alleged PhilHealth corruption is fake news.
Recently, Hontiveros slammed Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy chief Mocha Uson for allegedly peddling fake news about her. In her official Twitter account, Hontiveros called out Uson and urged her to do her job instead of spreading lies.
Furthermore, during an interview with dzBB, Hontiveros cited that the allegations against her are merely diversionary tactics. According to an article from Inquirer, Hontiveros said:
Hontiveros added that alleged fake news peddlers such as Mocha Uson are simply diverting the attention from the current investigation into the alleged anomalies within PhilHealth. As per the article, Hontiveros also noted that those involved in the anomalies must be held accountable.
She also urged the government to make no exemptions to those who are found guilty of corruption. Moreover, she said that it was important that the PhilHealth Mafia, are dismantled as billions have already been lost.
