Hontiveros Slams QC Official For “Shoot To Kill” Statement
HONTIVEROS SLAMS QC OFFICIALS – Senator Risa Hontiveros called out a Quezon City official for a recent post he made on Facebook.
In a now-deleted post, Task Force Disiplina head and former QC councilor Rannie Ludovica made a threat on Facebook: “Mula bukas, shoot to kill na ang lalabag sa MECQ“
As Quezon prepares for the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), health protocols would naturally become stricter. However, according to Hontiveros, the Task Force head’s statements was an incitement of violence against civilians.
Upon hearing about the post, Hontiveros was quick to call out Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte and the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) to hold Ludovica responsible. In her official Twitter, she said:
As a QC resident for the last 35 yrs, I will personally work to hold this public official accountable for inciting violence vs civilians.
Sino ngayon ang terorista?
The Senator added that she would not back down when it comes to advocating against abusive officials. Additionally, Risa Hontiveros said the behavior shown by the QC official should never be allowed.
Instead, Hontiveros said that officials should do their jobs without threatening to kill in the middle of the pandemic.
Earlier, Hontiveros also called out a netizen that said she should be the first to be “disciplined” by the “shoot to discipline” order.
