Photo of Manila Safety Marshalls w/ Multiple Traffic Violations Earns Criticisms Online
The controversial photo of several Manila safety marshalls who committed multiple traffic violations goes viral and elicits comments online.
Nowadays, the traffic authorities are implementing stricter rules and regulations along the road especially during this time of pandemic. One of these policies is the installation of barrier for motorists who have their partners as backriders.
Recently, the Facebook page “Philippines CCTV & DASH CAM Spotted” has shared the photos of several Manila safety marshalls with multiple traffic violations. The photo garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photo, it can be seen that the MTPB employees having a male backride without motorcycle barriers. Motorists using motorcycles without a barrier is now prohibited and punishable by law.
Aside from not installing barriers, some of the backriders have no crash helmets, which is also considered as a violation of traffic rules and regulations. The netizens want those officers to be punished for their violations.
