Regine Velasquez gave up her Hermes bag in the name of charity
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez donates her Hermes bag for OPM singers and musicians who are having a hard time amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
As mass gathering is not yet allowed due to the health crisis in the Philippines, Filipinos who are working in the music industry could not do their regular jobs as they usually did before the pandemic.
No more concerts as of now, no mall shows, and no stints in bars and hotels, as well as shows out of town and abroad. There are artists who settled at online concerts in order to continue having their source financially. On the other hand, there are music personalities who ventured into various business just to get by.
In line with this, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, who is the President of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), started an initiative to raise funds for singers and musicians who greatly affected by the pandemic.
His wife, Regine Velasquez took part in this by donating her Hermes bag. Ogie shared about this on his recent Instagram post. “Salamat mahal for contributing this one. This will help our opm singers and musicians!!” he said.
