PAGASA – LPA, Habagat To Bring Rains Over Parts Of Luzon This July 30, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this July 30, 2020.

The latest update from the state weather bureau says that the Low Pressure Area was last seen at about 50 kilometers west of Iba town in Zambales.

According to GMA, on the other hand, the southwest monsoon or habagat will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Both the LPA and habagat will bring monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains.

The two weather systems will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region and the rest of Luzon.

Again, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the forecast wind speed, Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving in the southwest to south direction while facing moderate to strong coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southwestward while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun has risen at around 5:39 AM and is expected to set at 6:26 PM.
