Designer Brian Tenorio Dies At Age 42
BRIAN TENORIO – Designer and LGBTQIA+ advocate Brian Tenorio died at the age of 42, Communication Design Association of the Philippines (CDAP) announced.
Filipino-American communication specialist and designer Brian Tenorio was known for digging various aspects of design. He graduated at the Pratt Institute in New York.
He was the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the design company ‘Brian Tenorio & Company‘ and coffee chain ‘Kape Tayo.’ Before he became a leader of his own companies, he first released award-winning designs for clients such as the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and Jaime Zobel de Ayala.
In 2004, Brian Tenorio launched his shoe brand Tenorio Manila. He sells high-end accessories and shoes for men and women. Marikina City gave him a marker for promoting his hometown’s shoe industry.
Tenorio also became known for his contributions as a branding consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He also advocated for the LGBTQIA+.
In 2016, he became the chair of the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The organization supported the LGBT people in the business.

Brian Tenorio’s death was announced on the Communication Design Association of the Philippines (CDAP) Facebook page on Tuesday, July 28. The president of CDAP), Jowee Alviar, said “Brian never fails to bring energy to meetings and discussions. He was always overflowing with creative ideas. The industry lost one of it’s champions.“
