Songbird Regine Velasquez said this to these people before!
REGINE VELASQUEZ – OPM icon and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez jokingly quipped this before to singers who transferred to ABS-CBN.
One of the most iconic in OPM and with several great contributions to the music industry in the country is Regine Velasquez. Her talent earned recognition nationwide and worldwide as she could belt the highest of notes effortlessly.
Recalling, the singer quipped “Mga bastos kasi sila” to fellow singers from GMA who transferred to Kapamilya network. It was all just a joke as they were asked a possible show reunion after several Kapuso singers have transferred to their rival network.
She said that on 2018 which is also the same year that she shocked everyone by transferring as well after GMA has sheltered her for 20 years. The ABS-CBN gladly welcomed her back in their company and she was immediately given numerous projects. However, the network has stopped broadcasting since May 2020 due to expiration of their franchise and their renewal application has been junked.
“You’ll never know kasi iniwan na nila tayong lahat, nasa Channel 2 na sila, mga bastos sila. Lalo na yung asawa ko, nuknukan ng bastos, in real life, huh,” she said in jest while laughing. She was referring to her husband Ogie Alcasid who transferred to ABS-CBN first.
Previously, about the reunion show which was asked, they said it might be too impossible because they are now in different networks. All they could actually do is to eat out and some “kwentuhan”, that’s the reunion that’s possible for them.
