Saab Magalona wore her father’s iconic shirt
Social media influencer Saab Magalona featured the iconic shirt of her late father Master Rapper Francis Magalona that he wore in the ‘Kaleidoscope World’ music video.
Francis M released the said song in 1995 as part of his studio album FreeMan. It was hailed as the Best Produced Record of the Year in the 1996 Awit Award and Song of the Year in the 1996 NU 107 Rock Award.
When the OPM icon passed away, this song was widely used to pay tribute to him. In the music video, Francis was with his band Hardware Syndrome and his backup singers the Evil Stepsisters.
Director/cinematographer Raymond Red directed the music video and his and Francis’ children were also featured in the music video. The Master Rapper’s son Elmo Magalona had a remake of this song in 2013.
The popularity of ‘Kaleidoscope World’ even reached the millennial generation. On July 22, Saab Magalona went back down the memory lane. She shared a photo of her wearing the colorful shirt that her father wore in the music video.
The social media influencer wrote this in the caption: “You and I are gonna live forever (sun emoji).” It also included a photo of Francis M from the music video. Several friends of Saan commented with heart emojis on her post.
